AdSense revenue calculator

Before diving into the intricacies of the AdSense payment system, you may want to predict how profitable it can be to monetize your website with the Google’s product. It will depend on the website’s monthly page views, world region (1. Americas, 2. Asia, and Pacific countries or 3. Europe, the Middle East, and Africa), and category. When it comes to the last aspect, Google divides content into these groups:

  • Arts & Entertainment,
  • Autos & Vehicles,
  • Beauty & Fitness,
  • Books & Literature,
  • Business & Industrial,
  • Computers & Electronics,
  • Finance,
  • Food & Drink,
  • Games,
  • Health,
  • Hobbies & Leisure,
  • Home & Garden,
  • Internet & Telecom,
  • Jobs & Education,
  • Law & Government,
  • News,
  • Online Communities,
  • People & Society,
  • Pets & Animals,
  • Real Estate,
  • Reference,
  • Science,
  • Shopping,
  • Sports,
  • Travel & Transportation.

With the Google AdSense calculator, you can try to predict how much you’ll earn using the platform. However, it’s worth remembering that it’s not accurate, and estimating ad revenue is uncertain since there are many factors that may impact your final ad revenue. For sure, one of them is seasonal tendencies that can affect ad earnings due to fluctuations in consumer behavior and advertiser ad spending. For instance, many advertisers increase their budgets at the end of the year, hoping they will earn more during Black Friday, Cyber Monday, or Christmas. Another factor that might heavily impact your ad revenue is ad layout. As per Google, it’s best to insert ad slots intentionally – the ones that may provide you with more ad revenue should be placed in the Above the Fold (ATF) area that users can access without the need to scroll. What’s more, the issue of banner blindness is real, as sometimes users no longer see ads due to the fact that there are simply too many. One way to fight such a phenomenon is to avoid implementing too large amounts of ad units on-site or incorporating native ads.

What are the ways to withdraw money from AdSense globally

Right now, publishers worldwide can withdraw money in 28 currencies. Additionally, starting from the beginning of May 2025, publishers from Egypt will only be able to receive AdSense earnings in Egyptian Pounds (EGP) instead of U.S. Dollars. Here are the other currencies available:

There are four Google AdSense payment methods. Significantly, the availability of each AdSense payment method depends on the world region. It’s also vital to know that the Western Union Quick Cash payment method has been discontinued. Here are the currently available methods:

  • Check – please remember that Citibank issues all AdSense checks, and, as a publisher, you have to check whether your bank will be able to accept them. Additionally, you will receive your check via standard mail delivery, and delays may occur based on the postal service in your area;
  • Wire transfer – it’s a way to receive your AdSense money directly to your bank account. The mandatory step includes providing all payment details in the AdSense account. The amount of information required varies depending on the country. Importantly, the ad revenue you will receive will be either in U.S. Dollars or Euros;
  • Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) – in contrast to wire transfer, EFT enables you to receive money not in U.S. Dollars or Euros but in your country’s currency. To set up EFT payments, you must provide your bank account details and make a test deposit so Google can confirm that everything works fine. Google claims this form of payment is safe, quick, eco-friendly and simply recommends it. Before delving deeper, please check whether you are eligible to opt for that kind of method in your country on this list;
  • Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) – is an Electronic Funds Transfer type, avaiable in many countries throughout Europe. To enroll in SEPA EFT payments, you must provide your bank account details. You may also need to make a test deposit for the same reason as in the case of the Electronic Funds Transfer mentioned earlier. A Google AdSense Help Center provides a list of countries that are eligible to use SEPA.

Google AdSense payment threshold

In order to carry out a specific action in your Google AdSense account, such as choosing your payment method, you must first achieve a specific payment threshold, which differs based on your currency. In this paragraph, we will focus on thresholds for five currencies: U.S. Dollars ($), Euros (€), British Pounds (£), Polish Zloty (zł), and Japanese Yen (¥). If the currency that you are interested in is not included in this paragraph, you can check the table on the Google AdSense Help Center website. Here’s all you need to know:

  • For account verification purposes, you must accumulate at least 10$ or its equivalent in case of other currencies;
  • Another AdSense payment threshold you must reach is a payment method threshold. To choose the method you prefer, you will have to gather at least 10$, 10€, 10£, 30zł, or 1,000¥. This is how:
    • Log into your AdSense account;
    • Proceed to “Payments”, later “Payments info” and, finally, “Add payment method”;
    • Now it’s time to provide your bank account details, and in case you want the payment method you choose to be your default option, check the “Set as primary payment method” box;
    • Choose “Save” and it’s done!
  • To receive a payment, your earnings must reach the payment threshold, which is 100$. The equivalents for the described currencies are 70€, 60£, 300zł and 8,000¥;
  • The last Google AdSense payment threshold you must know about is the cancellation threshold. The amount of money you have to gather is the same as in the case of the verification threshold. If you close your account and have more money than the cancellation minimum, your last payment will be sent within 90 days after the month ends. This will take place provided that you have completed all the necessary steps to receive a payment, like reaching the payment threshold.

What is Google AdSense payment timeline

A common query among new publishers is “What is the AdSense payment release date?”. When it comes to AdSense, if you’ve completed all the steps enabling you to receive the money and you’ve reached the payment threshold, Google will send your ad revenue via the chosen method between the 21st and 26th day of the following month. However, the exact payment date varies based on the payment method you choose, as well as factors like holidays and weekends. Additionally, in the case of all four methods of payment:

  • By the 3d of each month, on the “Payments” page, you will see your estimated earnings for the previous month;
  • The 20th is the final day when you have to gain enough income to reach the payment threshold;
  • Between the 21st and the 26th, you will be able to see “Payment pending” information on the “Payments” page.

How about taxes on AdSense earnings

Generally, the majority of countries in the world collect tax, which means you will also probably have to pay taxes on your AdSense pay. However, only some people are obliged to share their tax information with Google. It’s your location that decides. If required, you can submit it through AdSense. Additionally, when in doubt, it’s always best to contact a licensed specialist who will guide you and help you, for instance, establish what your tax residency country is. In the Google AdSense Help Center, you can see how to submit your US or non-US tax info. Please also note that Google does not provide tax advice.

Do I get an AdSense payment receipt or invoice

First things first, let’s explain the main difference between an invoice and a receipt. An invoice tells the buyer how much they need to pay before they send money. After the payment is made, the buyer gets a receipt as proof of payment. In the case of Google AdSense, the publisher can access a payment receipt after AdSense has paid him. To see such a receipt, you have to:

  • Log into your AdSense account. Remember that if you own two accounts – AdSense and AdSense for YouTube, you have to choose the right one;
  • Go to “Payments” and later, “Payments info”;
  • Choose “View transactions” and then “Transaction detail view”, which you can access after clicking the down arrow;
  • Now it’s time to find the payment you are looking for with the aid of filter options;
  • After you find the exact payment, pick “Automatic payment” located next to it. A new browser window or tab will open with a receipt suitable for printing.

Google AdSense payout checklist

Now that you know the most important things, it’s time for a payout! Here’s how to withdraw your earnings in AdSense:

  1. The first thing that usually needs to be done is sending your tax information to Google. Just remember to check whether it’s your obligation. Check for more details in the paragraphs above;
  2. The second step is a verification of your name and address, for which it is necessary to submit a document (ID);
  3. After you prove your identity and reach the verification threshold, you will get a PIN sent via post to your payment address. It’s vital to provide a valid address and make sure that you can receive regular mail. It typically takes about 3 weeks to arrive. If it hasn’t arrived by then, you can request a new one;
  4. Next, you can enter the received PIN into your AdSense account;
  5. At this stage, you are able to pick a payment method that suits you;
  6. If you reach the payment threshold in a given month – Google will send you your ad revenue.
